Package Delivery Control System at Deutsche Post
AG Outline
Deutsche Post AG (DPAG) has started the latest package
delivery control system since 1997 with the Casio’s
latest laser scanner integrated hand-held terminal,
the DT-800. More than 10,000 units of the DT-800
have been installed at 508 distribution centers
of DPAG all over Germany.
DPAG selected the DT-800 by its unique features
such as :
德国Deutsche邮政部门（DPAG）从1997年开始应用CASIO最新式激光扫描集成式手持终端--DT800，用于包裹发送跟踪查询系统。在德国境内DPAG的508个分拣配送中心里共使用了超过18000台DT800终端。
System Configuration

1, A truck driver put his DT800 on one of the I/O
Box
connected to the PC and downloads the information
of the packages which he is supposed to deliver.
卡车司机要投递包裹前,首先把DT800放在通讯座上（通讯座与PC机相连），将他所要递送的包裹信息下载至DT800中.（包括在某道段、频次内要投递的所有包裹信息）
2, The Driver then sacn the bar-code on the packages
with the DT800 when he load packages on the truck.
This mean that the driver can check if he has
loaded all the packages he has to deliver or not
在装车时用便携终端(DT800)扫描包裹上的条码，并将扫描后的包裹装到卡车上.这意味着司机可以检查是否已经装载所有需要递送的包裹.(如果出现漏装,少装等现象,DT800可以发出报警的嗡明声,并提示缺少.)
3, After the driver finished scanning all the
packages. He puts the DT800 on the I/O box and
uploads the scanned data to the PC.
当司机扫描所有的包裹后,将DT800放在通讯座上,并将采集数据上传至计算机
4, The application on the PC prints out bar-code,
type of packages, attribute such as registered,
postage due, etc,. On an A4 size delivery sheet.
Collected data will be used to keep track of location
of packages.
在上位计算机上的管理程序打印出包裹上的条码、包裹种类、邮资金额，等信息。生成包裹清单。上传至计算机的数据可以用来作为包裹查询依据。
5, The driver put away the DT800 into the shelf.
Then he depart from the distribution center with
the delivery sheet. He is now to deliver the package
referring to the delivery sheet.
发送人员将DT800放回到固定位置。带着包裹清单离开分拣中心。 根据包裹清单发送包裹。
